It is always unfortunate when Congress has to miss doing something — anything really — no matter how ineffectual.
“It is unfortunate that Congress had to take additional action on this issue, but the prospect of leaving millions of consumers in the dark was simply unacceptable,” Rep. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), a senior member of a congressional [...]

The Senate has passed yet another bill delaying the adoption of broadcast DTV. This one would make the switch “voluntary and television stations could go ahead if they wished with digital transmission on February 17 as scheduled and drop analog transmission.” (source)
Yeah… if you could just go ahead and put the new cover sheets on [...]

I haven’t found a way to embed this clip so I’ll link to it. Take 13 minutes (with an advert at the beginning) to Catch the Frak Up. The final ten episodes of Battlestar Galactica are about to hit the picture box.
I am so fr*kking stoked.
UPDATE: Wow… that was dark!

Well, the first three seasons, anyway.

I said I wasn’t going to watch it. The debate. The debate between the vice-presidential candidates. …vice-president of the United States? Of America? Still don’t know what I’m talking about? Me either.
My gut feeling (and I do always go with my gut) after watching those two go at it is that Joe Biden is much [...]

I just happened to see this post on TechCrunch about Nero and TiVo teaming up to offer the TiVo experience on a tuner-equipped PC. Long time readers know that I built one of those a while back. I’ll probably need a newer tuner card (for Clear QAM digital on cable), but the price isn’t too [...]

While I’m recouperating at home I’ve been watching the [world games]. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to mention the actual name of the games that are played every four years and that are this year being played in China… but I bet you can guess I’m not talking about WWF Smackdown.
During one of the [...]
