The Pilot House Restaurant is a bit hard to spot. Sure, there is a very large sign in front, but if you ride beyond the sign, all you will see when you look back is a sign for the pizza place on the second floor. You want to go downstairs for Pilot House. Ocean Park is located on the Long Beach peninsula, just a few miles north of Long Beach. Oddly, while you can drive your vehicle out onto the beach and "park" it next to the ocean, you cannot pitch a tent out there or have a campfire. You also can't swim in the ocean.
