Riley, Oregon

June 4, 2004

If you blink you will miss Riley. Riley sits at the intersection of US Highways 395 and 20 in the easern part of our fair state. This stop was not a diner or cafe. It was the Riley (Deli) Store and Archery; which I guess technically makes it an eatery but with the archery angle, it's also possible to shoot your mouth off there. "Gals, meet your beau and arrow at the archery shop!"

I was dead tired by the time I reached Riley. Mrs. Martin, one of the proprieters, took pitty on me and rented one of their spare rooms. It's probably a big secret that they have spare rooms and I'm spoiling it here but, anyway, they were quite nice to me and for that I am grateful. Thanks Dale and Pat!

The room had a bed in it but I was so tired, I fell asleep in a recliner chair. 600 miles and lots of excitement in one day will do that to a person. I am not a Jedi yet.
