Parma, Idaho

mapI thought I'd pop across the border into Idaho since there was a rally point waiting for me in Parma and since I just happened to be in Ontario, Oregon (right across the border).   Convenient?  This "journey" took me about thirty minutes.

There seems to be a bit of Theological rivalry going on along the highway to Parma.   Both the Presbyterian and Latter Day Saints groups have "adopted" sections of the road as part of the anti-litter campaign.  I couldn't really tell who had been more successful.

The BLT Cafe/Restaurant is also a sort of general store.  People were eating breakfast and enjoying a cup of joe (well, specifically, each person had their own cup of joe -- it wasn't some kind of communal thing.)  Apparently another one of the Royal Family just married his first wife and the place was all a-buzz about that.

I bid good morning to the local police officer who happened to be in there at the same time.  He was having... do I have to say it?... donuts.  I didn't expect any trouble from him since I was only going to be in town for a short time and because I noticed that Idaho has their major freeways set for 75 MPH.

I collected the stamp, snapped a photo and moved on the way I came, this time pointed west on Hwy 20 towards the Oregon border.
