The Background

Just to be different, TT and Allen went on a vacation trip at the same time to the same place. Kah-Nee-Ta is located on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation in central Oregon.

There are a number of lodging alternatives ranging from teepees to RV parking to full on resort-type suites. Recreational activities are also numerous: biking, hiking, swimming, horseback riding, golfing and, of course, gambling. The sun shines 300 days a year in this picturesque high desert retreat.

TT asks, "Where are the brakes on this thing?"

"Nice doggie..."

"Uh... hey, who's gawkin'?"

This is a view from Saddle Street and Mane Avenue. It is much more difficult to take pictures from a horse than to take pictures of a horse.

This is where the bad children go. ...Or, it might be the salmon bake pit.

Not nearly as comfortable as our room at the lodge. But it is festive.

Coyote and Her Pups. This sculpture was carved out of a rock found when the pool was being excavated.

And every night, we got mooned.
